Sanna Rintalaulaja is a Helsinki-based ceramic artist.
Whose practice centers on material-driven art. Her hand-built works explore tactile surface structures, rhythm and repetition. Drawing on her background in jewelry design, she constructs reliefs from countless individually formed components. Existing between careful planning and intuitive process, her work embraces the intelligence of the hand. By working with only a few simple tools, she preserves a direct and sensitive connection to the clay. Sanna is a member of Studio BOM, a creative collective based in the Kallio district of Helsinki.
